If you are unfamiliar with this concept, I suggest you go here, here, here, and here first, and then maybe check out multiplicity, fragmentedminds, or plural_living. If you still have questions after that, we are quite willing to answer questions, though some of us answer more coherently than others.

What we are: a group of approximately 20 separate people who happen to occupy the same body, frequently referred to as multiple personalities. Date of full awareness of being multiple: 10/31/2003 (Halloween: the "monsters" come out.)

What we are not: dangerous, crazy, unstable, a freak show, or a pity party, at least not any more so than any singular person is capable of being. In short, we are still the same person that you already know; it’s just that now you are being let in on the names and facts that go with all the intensely different “moods and modes” that the person you know would go through. Yes, our “face” people who were unaware of being multiple did have blackouts or strange awareness of suddenly behaving in ways that were not like them, but we’ve got almost everybody sharing all their memories and cooperating now, so we rarely have that anymore.

We used to request that anyone who knows me/us in real life not ever mention this journal in connection with me or my other journal, for child custody and potential employment issues. This is no longer the case. We are quite open with people we know in real life, and anyone we come across online. Besides, Joey told the EX about us being multiple, and he either didn't believe her or figured it was just one more cool weird thing about us. As far as employment issues, if they can't handle us, we wouldn't be happy working there anyway and would probably get fired or quit for reasons other than being multiple.
